As far as hiphop goes, I miss the good ole days. WuTang was better when they were starving. My Life was Mary’s best album and she was on drugs! Common put out decent music before he hooked up with Erykah. Must one be on drugs or broke to put out good music?

im feeling that…i long for the days when i can just leave work at work, but ive clearly chosen the wrong field for that! i enjoy not talking about work when im at home, but people find what i do interesting and always ask or want me to tell people about it…i like to hand out pamphlets.

so, unless i meet an unusually awesome therapist, im gonna opt out of that one. for the good of the children.

i dont have a whole lot of dating/long term relationship experience but i have yet to date a white collar professional…i try to be equal opportunity (with limits) on the dating front, but ive generally come across the “aint shyt” types and the “gotta job” types….

what i prefer….like others have mentioned its the personality that gets me. im attracted to brilliance, but im also attracted to humor. someone that can laugh at the same dumb shyt i laugh at and then introduce me to new dumb shyt. and all that good stuff about passion, compassion, drive and ambition, kind and considerate and so on….i love all that! and ive seen it across teh spectrum of professions. i prefer a profession rather than a job…and i love a man that wears a suit to work. they are a dying breed, ive noticed. ive found myself drawn to engineery and computery types…i think they balance me out. i tend towards the esoteric at times and often need someone to just be practical….

in the end though, if he’s a genuinely good guy who can make me laugh and teach me something, as well as be open to being taught something by me once in a while then i’ll be happy as a clam!

a male friend told me that i alternately give off a savior vibe and a save me vibe…he didnt elaborate, but i think its weird. the savior vibe is what attracts the scrubs, i suppose….the other thing is that i sometimes take that non-judgmental thing too far lmao…like, oh youre 33 and live with your moms and dont have a job…oh, okay, i see. i dont give em the stink face even though ive already scratched them off the “gettin some” list, mentally. so, since im nice to them, they think im interested…
