To all those suckas that don’t know, today is the day of #REMINISCE in Washington, DC. From 930pm to 3am, Supa Qool DJ Quartermaine will be bringing you the dopest jammy jams from the decade that most of us remember fondly, the 1990s.
To make this even more special, we’re celebrating the birthday of our DJ!! So you know he’s going extra hard in the paint. Plus, we’re celebrating the 1-year anniversary of Urban Cusp and its founder, Rahiel Tesfamariam, who’s graced the VSB archives as well. It’s the jammy jam to end all jammy jams.
From Snoop Doggy Doggy and Dr. Dre on the West Coast to Biggie, Gangstarr, and the Wu on the East Coast, we’ll be bringing the house down with the sounds that grew us all up.
Not to be forgotten, we bring it down South and to the midwest, because we are all Outkasts. And we’re not against rap…we’re not against rappers…but we are against those thugs. Yes…Bone Thugs-n-Harmony style proper.
Make sure you RSVP for free entry before 11pm ($10 after) and come party with VSB x Shine On Me x Just Cause Events. We’ll have complimentary Courvoisier Rose to go along with our open bar from 930 to 1030pm. It gets hot because we party like we’ll never party again so there’s no dress code. Come comfortable. Leave happy.
Liv Nightclub x 2001 11th Street, NW (corner of 11th and U) x Doors at 930pm
If you’ve got some extra time, peep out Panama’s latest Guyspeak post inspired by R. Kelly’s admission that The Notebook helped usher in his divorce. That R. What an idiot!
Happy Saturday folks!!! It’s July and hot as hell outside. Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is. So drink some.
