i, too, am part of that three. ive been to numerous sephoras and the darkest shade always looks like i just took a powder puff and put some baby powder on my cheek. there does seem to be a darker shade on sephora.com, but im not sure there will be much difference.

and, ive noticed that most of the dark-skinned women i know have oily skin. i find it soooo annoying! but i think its probably the reason why “black dont crack,” as well as the reason why my mom looks lik 35 years old.

only if its a picture with no flash in natural light. cuz flash can make even the most beauteous makeup look like you just got embalmed.

I’m Caramel (I think) but my only other immediate relatives are all dark brown-skinned (mom, brother and niece) and my mom and brother have insisted that I’m light-skinndeded but I don’t think I am. I have the opposite thinking of a lot of others where I think I’m darker than I really am. Funny thing is sometimes I’m Caramel then other times I’m really light and it shocks me, especially in the winter months. I also have jet black hair which probably makes me seem lighter. I think because the others in my family are browner I have a complex where I think I’m too light and wish I were browner (all colors are beautiful to me but that’s a different story), that shows you it’s your environment that gives you a complex.

@Ms. Sula, seeing as to how the country i hail from has been in civil war for over 20 yrs due to tribe, and my fam has seen all sorts of tragedy cause of it..maybe not lol. i just cuss and stuff.
