Okay everybody, you all know where this is going. You just got finished watching the Pittsburgh Steelers win what was one of the better Super Bowl’s in recent history. You also saw another Black coach win a Superbowl.
But do you know what else you just watched?
You watched The Champ get his vindication. You see, good people of VSB.com, The Champ calls himself, The Champ, because of the Superbowl XL win over the Seattle Seahawks (amongst other reasons).
And once again, the Steelers of Pittsburgh have won the Super Bowl thereby cementing The Champ’s status as, well, The Champ.
Right now, I’m sure The Champ is running around the mean streets of the ‘Burgh with his Terrible Towel and his robe made famous as his gameday outfit on his previous website.
Full disclosure: I wanted the Arizona Cardinals to win. I did. I actually think I wanted Larry Fitzgerald to win one more than the Cardinals but he played for them so, whatever. But that damn Santonio Holmes made the catch of his lifetime to cement the Steelers status as the best team in the NFL.
And what does this have to do with the price of lycra in Wasilla?
Tonight, little babies will be conceived due the euphoria of this win. And that’s a good thing. Little babies are good things.
Anyway, today, if you know a Pittsburgh fan, hug them. Hi-five them. Tell them, “good job.”

i’m not a Stiller “fan”, per se, but i def put on for my current home team (when they’re not playing MY team of course). how can anyone, esp one that resides in this terribly tundra-ish city, NOT like the Steelers?? they’re a GREAT team– great franchise– got great players like Polamalu, Ward, Holmes, Parker, etc– and lead by a great YOUNG BLACK COACH!!!! and most importantly, they are WINNERS. better yet CHAMPIONS. 6 times over to be exact.

Congrats to The Champ and Pittsburgh. It must be nice to be football royalty. You guys are like the Yankees, Red Wings, Lakers, etc. I’m glad to see another black coach get a ring too. That’s 3 black coaches in the Super Bowl in 2 years. Sad part about this is that it reminds me of how bad my team sucks. There use to be a time when Lions fans knew that their team sucked but it didnt suck as bad as Arizona and Tampa Bay.
