On the flip side, sexuality is fluid and so it stands to reason if you don’t confuse sex with love and look at “prison sex” as just a means to get off, then yes you can be ‘straight” on the outside.

The problem with questions like this is it assumes one’s position is fixed, when sexuality doesn’t work that way.

I maintain HIV is 100% preventable. A condom SIGNIFICANTLY reduces your chances of spreading/catching it. So do clean needles, for all those who take it in the veins.

Since the highest risk groups involve p*nis, if everyone participated in unprotected oral or digital (fingers) sex & intercourse that involved a penis or penetration from shared toys (m/m, m/f) then of course the transmission of STD’s would increase. You have to read between the lines my dear.

i used AIDS and its #1 transmission category as an example of an STD that could potentialy spread more ferociously than it currently is if:

(and me assuming people would practice safe sex no more than they already do)

i happen to think that if everyone were to become bi-sexual (if not already) then it would diversify and compound the probability pool for sexually transmitted disease not only in the initial encounter but those that branch from the first encounter. (male or female) …and this is just the 1st potential transmission group after which (the bi switch) many more possibilities and probabilities combinate.

First off, you can’t “get AIDS.” You can contract the virus that may later develop into AIDS. Most patients die from pneumonia or some other illness as a result of their impaired immune system and never even develop AIDS. The common ways of transmission are via unprotected sexual penetration, contaminated needles, breast milk, and an infected mother can pass it on to her child during delivery. And 20 years ago, blood transfusions were also a way of transmission (before Ryan White & other cases.) Although a small amount of weak antibodies can be found in saliva & tears, there are no known cases of anyone contracting the virus as a result of someone spitting on them. The only way you can pass it on via oral is if you’re swallowing goo-gobs by the gallon. And if you have cuts & sores in your mouth while performing oral on an infected person, your chances of contracting the virus increases. Anyone who may have claimed they contracted HIV via oral was probably also involved in other high-risk behavior, making it impossible to pinpoint the exact cause of transmission. Also, according to the CDC, of the 250,000 new female cases reported in 2004, 7,000 of those women claimed to have only been with other women. But later it was found that they also participated in other dangerous behavior (sharing needles or unprotected intercourse with infected men) at some point. All this to say, of the millions of new cases, less than 1 percent are f/f and of that less than one percent, there’s no evidence that those women contracted it from each other.
