This is…amazing.

Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU for posting this!

I can count on one finger how many times I’ve actually been moved to a tear drop or two by a music video but damn it if this one didn’t do it. It feels like every black funeral I’ve been two where the pastor attempts to switch the narrative from death and finality to a celebration of life, the end of pain and eternal happiness. I’ve replayed this so many damn times and still can’t get enough.

CAN NOT WAIT for the whole album to drop!

This has been on my “Watch Later” list for a couple days. Now I’ve gotta actually watch it. Must. Stop. Procrastinating!

Dope vid…Flying Lotus has some great visuals…there’s one that shows a drive-by shooting in reverse…it’s amazing, but I can’t think of the name of it.

I have to admit that when I first heard this joint I thought it was a retread of FlyLos joint Putty Boy Strut- equally visually compelling in a very different way- but this ish right here. Reassuring reminder of what music as art can really be.

One of the cliches about music videos is that they are small movies. Sometimes that’s even true, but not in a good way. Just like a lot of movies aren’t worth your money or time, most videos are formulaic, substitute cgi effects for character interaction and rely on star-power to distract from a lack of plot.

But this. What did I just see? This was a (tiny) movie. Every shot made me look a little harder. Time to figure out who Flying Lotus is, and who directed, choreographed, lensed and wrote this.

What did I just see? *clicks repeat*

This was a gem. A gem that speaks to our culture right now. I’m glad I saw it.
