Wish I could be at a parade today and back at my school's campus to celebrate my most renown fraternity brother with my frat brothers today. For every that is off today and able to celebrate, use this time to reflect on Dr. King's life and how you can make the world a better place by show love to people of all races and colors. I know it sounds like a PSA but hey it's what this day should be about.Cool story: My senior year in high school, which is actually 10 years ( I can't believe it), our senior class decided to get together on MLK day and go to one of the parks in my area of Dallas and have a cookout with just us, just to hang out one last time before we all graduated. Had a good time that day eating, dancing, playing dominoes and playing football. What made that day so cool is that that cookout was Dr. King's dream coming to fruition. It was black kids, white kids, Latino kids and Asian kids hanging out, having a good time, no beef and enjoying each others company and oddly enough, all of us are still close today, with a big help from Facebook.Anyway, thought I would share that story on a day like today.

I am stuck at work today and even worse I have safety training today. Instead, I'll share the following message: If you're in the Burgh, the August Wilson Center is having a FREE day in honor of MLK day. They will have exhibits and art activities from 11am-4pm. The center is working with relief organizations to help with the crisis in Haiti. So, visitors are strongly encouraged to bring donated items such as: Baby/wet wipes, Buckets, Bar soap, Wash cloths, Toothpaste/toothbrushes, Combs and Brushes or Canned food. For more info, visit http://www.augustwilsoncenter.org

I want so badly to say “serve deez”, but I won’t.
