I’m Pretty Sure Justin Timberlake Can Save Love

Panama’s latest at Guyspeak

A few days ago, Twitter blew up with the word that iTunes was streaming the new Justin Timberlake (JT) album, The 20/20 Experience, an album nobody knew he was making until he dropped “Suit & Tie” on radio, days before the release of the album. So like anybody else with a computer and ears, I traipsed right on over to iTunes to listen to his album.

I’m half surprised that the iTunes Store didn’t implode under the weight of a gazillion folks wanting to listen to it since, well, JT moves the needle. We have very few artists like him that can appeal to pretty much any audience he wants to by virtue of his mere existence. He sings well. He acts well and he has pulled nearly every hot chick du jour, settling on one of THE hottest in Jessica Biel. Aye caramba.

He makes urban pop music that can play on any format radio staiton. Except probably country, but if Taylor Swift still counts, then I don’t see why JT doesn’t.

Panama Jackson

Panama Jackson is pretty fly (and gorgeous) for a light guy. He used to ship his frito to Tito in the District, but shipping prices increased so he moved there to save money. He refuses to eat cocaine chicken. When he's not saving humanity with his words or making music with his mouth, you can find him at your mama's mama's house drinking her fine liquors. Most importantly, he believes the children are our future. You can hit him on his hitter at panamadjackson@gmail.com.

Holy crap. I was literally watching JT videos on YouTube when I went to Pulse and saw you posted this blog entry.

I stan for JT. Pusher lover girl? Yes sir. Mirrors? The last 3 minutes are absolutely beautiful. Like really JT! Suit & Tie? Makes me want to get my grown woman on.

He doesn’t even know how to make bad music. His sound is always evolving and he is not afraid to push himself to the next level–a level that people like me never knew existed.

Complex wrote a whole post showing the hate that JT was getting on Twitter. Apparently a LOT of people think that Timberlake completely jacked Robin Thicke’s swag. Which I found funny because they’re damn near interchangeable anyway. At one point JT was like the white Usher. He owned pop music for a while. Robin Thicke always had a more mature sound and image and with Timberlake getting older… what else would you expect?? I’m a Timbelake fan but Suit and Tie does sound like a hidden track off The Evolution of Robin Thicke.

    • I actually agree. When I first heard Suit & Tie I immediately felt like JT swaggerjacked the hell out of Bruno Mars steez. But the album is hot though. Nothing else sounds like Suit&Tie to me. It’s solid.

Robin Thicke makes more mature music, I agree. JT makes more music that can go pop though. It’s artsy with pop sensibilities. Also, I never really liked Robin Thicke though. I like him on Real Husbands of Hollywood…that’s it.

I didn’t think he swagger jacked anyone. The hair and clothing is just the new style. Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke, and Bruno are wearing their hair like this. As for the clothes, he’s in his 30s now so more professional clothing is in. He did his last concert for FSLS in a suit and tie actually. That was 5 years ago. People are just salty bc RT will never be as successful as JT. JT just has IT. He’s had the it factor since N’Sync and he continues to have it now even after a 7 yr hiatus. Not too many artists can leave for almost a decade, come back, and people lose their minds.

Suit &Tie actually sounds like something that he and Tim would do. I wouldn’t even compare it to a RT song by any means. Or Bruno Mars who has more of a doo wop soulful sound.

      That’s just me though.

JT looks better than Robin Thicke that’s all there is to it.

        • mena

          Nah. They’re both hot.

Do you mean “looks good” in an all around way (ie. dress, sound, style, etc.)? Then yes. JT is hotter/sexier but just on looks alone? They are both hot in their own way. Though I’ve had a crush on JT since I was 18.

JT… my man from TN. :D You know it. I think TN produces a lot of viable talent. Just saying. I love his music and I recently caught the movie “In Time.” It was pretty good too.

I’m just gonna say this and bounce…The 20/20 Experience is Album Of The Year so far.

I am LOVING the new look of the site! ;-) I checked in this morning, read through the comments, refreshed to see if any more comments had posted, and the dang navigation switched from the right side of the page to the left!!! LOL! Okay, moving on…

I like Justin Timberlake… Like, I own his first 2 solo albums, and even thought I don’t care for “Suit & Tie” I will still most likely get “The 20/20 Experience” just because it’s JT, or at the very least purchase all of the songs I like from the album (AmazonMP3 is my bestest fwend! #TeamAndroid). I think that makes me a stan but I don’t care. I agree with everything most people have stated so far. JT is tha’ MAN!

      Ooops… That should be ‘…and even though…’ not ‘…and even thought…”

I don’t really type, I just peck really fast then don’t fully proofread until the split second AFTER I click ‘Post Comment’. #Shrug
