I cried several times (and that was just during the invocation).the energy and enthusiasm on that mall was electric as we stood and witnessed history being made. the crew of people I was with (there were 9 of us total) were intially festive through the morning but quickly became solemn. It especially touched us that we were standing next to an older woman and her church sisters who had "been here" when Dr. King delivered his speech. seeing her at the end of our day also brought tears to my eyes. It was an emotion filled morning. My walk across the 14th street bridge and I395 S back into Virginia helped me to reflect on my experience today, and though I am exhausted from lack of sleep and just in general coming down from an all time high I am even more inspied to support Our 44th President. Barack H. ObamaP.S. Liz did u notice that for all the red Our First Lady wore leading up to this moment on this day in this time she wore GREEN! I watched the inaguration today, and saw some of the Obama's procession toward the white house. Our ancestors must be so proud. This day could not have happened without their work and sacrifice. It will take our work and sacrifice to help make the next period of our history successful. Reading the words of the Negro National Anthem was really moving also.Happy Inaguration Day y'all!
