DC: REMINISCE – 2NITE – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 – UGLY SWEATER HOLIDAY PARTY and TOY DRIVE for BEST KIDS!

eventbriteuglyTHIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2013, at Liv Nightclub is another edition of REMINISCE! We’re in the holiday spirit for this one with an UGLY SWEATER HOLIDAY PARTY and a TOY DRIVE to support BEST KIDS!, an organization geared towards mentoring foster care youth in DC’s child welfare system!

We’re excited about partnering with this organization so that we can do a little bit of good for a group of kids who don’t have a lot. In that vein, we’re asking for people to bring in toys for kids from ages 9-18 years old, both boys and girls, though the organization has informed us that they have many more boys than girls in need. But all kids need some toys! We’re glad to help out.

To sweeten the pot and incentive bringing toys, the first 50 people to donate a toy will get prize pack, filled with goodies from Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas movie! The packs will include DVDs, goodies from Tyler Perry, and movie passes to see Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas! We’ll have the MADEA CHRISTMAS team there taking pictures as well with some extra goodies!

If that isn’t enough, we STILL have our standard FREE before 11pm with RSVP! ($10 after) and OPEN BAR from 930-1030pm! So it’s free entry, free drinks, and if you bring us a toy you may get free stuff!!!! AND WE’RE WEARING UGLY SWEATERS! To quote D’Angelo and Raphael Saadiq…you should be here…on Saturday night! See you then!!!!

A 30th birthday gift!!! Ok, my wife is turning 30 yo on December 30. We’ve been together for 12 years, so it’s becoming very difficult to give her gifts. Jewelry, purses, shoes, clothing flowers, and edible arrangements are becoming too predictable, since she usually get them. I’d like to find more creative way to celebrate her birthday. She does not like to party, so I am not going to have a party. I’ve already planned a dinner with our family. Also, I gave her 25 different gifts for her 25th birthday, so I can’t do it again for her 30th birthday. No massages and custom made calendars since I’ve already given her one as a gift before. I’d love to hear some suggestions as to what I can do.
P.S. She is natural and like natural hair stuffs; however, she has purchase so many of them that I don’t think it makes sense to get her some more.
