I know, I remember feeling like I was melting. It was the one time I would have liked a little more rain.

Now here in NYC we’re supposed to get buried in snow for a couple days. After last weekend’s fakeout we’ll see happens.

I’m not mad at the snow and think it’s a great opportunity for DC to get it’s sh*t together. IF ONLY IT WOULD!

I’m originally from Los Angeles and moved to the DC area (the first time) about 5 years ago. That first year was ROUGH!!! As soon as fall hit and the temperature hit the low 60′s, my teeth were chatterin’ and I was shivering and trying to generate some warmth! Everyone else was walking around in flip-flops talking about how warm it was outside!
I had to purchase a ENTIRE new winter wardrobe because in Cali, a winter wardrobe consist of a long sleeve cotton shirt and a light jacket. I think I burst into tears about five times that first winter just because it was so damn cold!!!
But, you do eventually acclimate to the weather. Now when I go home, I chuckle a little when my father turns on the heat when the temperature hits 65!
